We can't believe it, but it has been one year since Maya has joined our family.  She has brought so much love and joy to our lives that we cannot remember a time without her.  The year has gone by so fast...   She has grown so much in every way.  She is now talking very good English...she still mixes a little Chinese in, but for the most part we understand everything she is saying.   She can understand us perfectly...when she chooses to :)   Maya is the perfect child for us..  Our hearts burst with joy every time we think of her.

    Maya is very active... she keeps us on our toes.  She will think nothing of climbing to the highest point of the playground gym, giving Mommy and Daddy a scare....all the time trying to see if she can get even higher while we are trying to get her down.  She is very funny and will do crazy things to make us laugh... She loves her dogs, her crazy bald babydoll, her new toy train and her toy kitchen.  She makes a mean cup of coffee with her play coffee maker and is a very good hostess, refilling your cup every few seconds.  She loves anything to do with art , and drew a nice abstract picture on our wall last week in marker... yikes !! 

   Maya is not a picky eater... she will eat almost anything you give her, but you must fill every section of her plate.  If one section is left open she will tell you about it and not eat until it has something in it.  Her favorite food is macaroni and cheese and her favorite drink is lemonade.

    This first year with Maya has been a blast...  We look forward for many more !
